100% Control on Back-to-Back sales

Fawaz needed a fundamental solution to its back-to-back sales.

The Challenge

Direct vendor-to-customer delivery orders were managed by email. Delivery status was hard to confirm and the team had to spend time gathering  email communications everytime customer follows-up on his order. The model was too fragile to grow.

The Business

Fawaz fulfills many on-demand requests they are then shipped straight from the vendor to the customer’s site, never passing through the warehouse. Every one of these sales depends on a purchase order and a delivery that Fawaz does not physically handle, yet customers expect accurate updates on their order at every stage. The objective was to give full visibility from the moment the delivery order is sent to the supplier until the goods reach the customer. The customer then confirms receipt through the same delivery confirmation feature built for the Fawaz warehouse solution, which closes the cycle so the vendor item receipt, the sale and the customer shipment are all booked in Dynamics 365 FinOps.

The Goal

Fawaz needed a tailored back-to-back process links the sales order, the purchase order and the direct delivery in one traceable chain that sales can process them confidently and procurement team can coordinate with vendor.

Issue delivery instructions from the system

Sales teams create a delivery instruction in Dynamics 365 FinOps asking the vendor to ship the material directly to the customer. Each instruction carries the receiver’s contact details and a QR code with the site’s map location, so the driver can scan it and head straight there.

02

Keep the process flexible

When a customer is not ready to receive the material, Fawaz can temporarily receive it from the vendor to keep it secure. Delivery then goes ahead as soon as the site is ready.

03

Confirm receipt at the customer's site

We linked the delivery instruction to the delivery confirmation feature built for warehouse shipments. Once the customer’s receiving agent confirms receipt, the system automatically posts the product receipt and packing slip, and can issue the customer invoice at the same time.

“Our back-to-back orders used to live in email threads, and every customer follow-up meant digging through messages to find out where the goods were. Now each delivery instruction is issued from Dynamics 365, drivers find the site with a quick scan, and the moment our customer confirms receipt, the shipment and invoice are posted automatically. Even when a site isn’t ready, we can secure the material until it is. SysBrilliance turned a fragile process into one we can confidently grow.”
