How Fawaz Lifted FMCG Order Fulfilment by 83%

Never Run Out of What Sells Fastest

The Challenge

Fawaz forecast demand for its fast-moving consumer goods in Excel, and only a handful of people knew how the spreadsheets worked. Forecasts were rebuilt from scratch each cycle, so replenishment was reactive: stock was ordered after a problem appeared, not before. Fast-moving lines ran out and orders went unfulfilled, while slow stock sat in the warehouse and tied up cash. With planning knowledge held by so few people, the process was hard to scale.

The Business

In FMCG, products turn quickly and a missed replenishment shows up straight away as an unfulfilled order. For Fawaz, that meant lost sales on its best-selling lines, while overbuying slower lines locked up working capital. The objective was to take replenishment out of spreadsheets and put it on a data-driven footing inside Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, with a demand planner simple enough for planners to trust and use every day.

The Goal

Fawaz wanted to take replenishment out of spreadsheets and base it on data inside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Its brief to SysBrilliance was a simple demand planner tuned to FMCG patterns. Planners would review and approve replenishment proposals generated by the system instead of building forecasts by hand. The aim was to keep fast movers in stock without overbuying slow lines.

01

Tune forecasts to FMCG demand

The planner is built around FMCG demand patterns, so forecasts reflect how quickly fast movers turn and where slower stock builds up.

02

Generate replenishment proposals automatically

The system produces replenishment proposals from the data, so forecasts no longer depend on a few people rebuilding spreadsheets each cycle.

03

Keep planners in control

Planners review, adjust and approve system-generated proposals instead of building forecasts from scratch, moving replenishment from reacting to stockouts to planning ahead of them.

“Demand planner has helped us gain great control over our stock and streamline our purchases. We could reduce a lot of shortage in our stocks and were able to fulfill most of our projects on time.”
