The Challenge
Heavy customizations that alter the standard core engine of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations were done by a previous provider, so every Microsoft update risked breaking the system. Sewan had lost confidence that the platform could carry the business.

Sewan is a fast-paced business and required the Dynamics 365 to match that speedy environment. The critical core-changes was a clear threat to the continuity of the system. The reliability of Sewan on the system was all-time low.

The Strategy
Analyze the current
We ran detailed tracing across batch jobs, postings and peak-hour user sessions to capture exactly where time and resources were being spent.
Assess possible standard feature alternatives
Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations had major updates since then, so we had to find existing features as an alternative to eliminate the related customization.
Rewrite the core-altering logic
The most complex task was to re-write the remaining required logic in phased way to restore a clean, upgrade-safe core and more importantly to not disturb the operations.
